DPM Simović presentes results of EU, Government's support to agriculture, announces new IPARD public calls

Podgorica, Montenegro (31 July 2019) -- In 2019, 274 agricultural producers and entrepreneurs have realised or are realising investments worth EUR 28, 6 million from the EU and the Government's grant support in the amount of EUR 13, 6 million. It is an investment within the IPARD like 2 project and two public calls within large IPARD. From the total number of beneficiaries, 152 are from the north, 106 are from the central and 16 from the southern region. 

At today's press conference, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović presented the results of the projects and announced new IPARD public calls.

"Today we are together again on the field with hard-working farmers, our European partners, representatives of local governments and the media. With all of you who are our important partners in informing farmers and encouraging them to take advantage of the generous support in order to provide better visibility of the significant support that our entrepreneurs and farmers receive from the EU funds and the Government," DPM Simović stated. 

He emphasised that the aim is to show in the field that European integration brings numerous, visible and concrete benefits to the citizens. "With the clear message that every new step towards the EU, that is our strategic goal and the need of all citizens, means more support from the EU funds, adoption of higher standards, greater competitiveness of our economy, better care for the environment and ultimately a higher quality of our citizens' lives," DPM Simović stressed.
