Contract on rehabilitation of Han Garančića – Opasanica road, worth about EUR 430,000 is signed

The Government of Montenegro allocated about EUR 430,000 in the Capital budget for the rehabilitation of local road Han Garančića – Opasanica in Podgorica and the Public Works Administration has contracted works performing.

Podgorica – based "Avio Petrol" Construction Company, which have been chosen as the best bidder in the course of public procurement procedure, committed itself to complete the works within three months from the date of introduction to work.

The project foresees the reconstruction of the road in the length of half a kilometer with the construction of the system for drainage of water, installation of the traffic signalization and the raising new and rehabilitation of existing retaining walls height of three to five meters. The construction of concrete walls is also planned, in order to regulate the Opasanica riverbed and its tributary – stream, in the length of nearly 100 meters.

The realization of this project will increase safety of all traffic participants substantially, at the same time, enabling high – quality road connectivity in the area of Han Garančića and Opasanica.
