Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs of Montenegro Osman Nurković attended the inauguration ceremony of the Permanent Secretariat of the Transport Community in Belgrade. The Treaty establishing the Transport Community was signed by prime ministers of the Western Balkan Six in Trieste in 2017, as a successor to the Memorandum of Understanding for the development of the South East Europe Core Regional Transport Network (SEETO Memorandum). The aim of the treaty is to integrate transport markets, harmonise transport legislation with the acquis, establish a structure for social dialogue between the member states, etc. This will create the preconditions for a competitive market and economic growth of the entire region, and enable better flow of goods and capital, as well as the connection of Montenegro with the European Union's central transport network.
