PM Marković starts his working visit to Nikšić by launching construction works for nursing home for elderly

"Through this project, we have already addressed many important issues concerning the housing of vulnerable categories, including pensioners and refugees, as well as socially vulnerable people. I will remind you that in 2018 we closed collective centres in Berane - Rubež 1 and Rubež 2 by constructing 95 housing units and that at the same time we closed the largest collective centre for refugees in Konik, where we built 171 residential units, and in 2016 in Nikšić, we built two 63-unit apartment buildings. This testifies to the fact that the Government, the State and its partners and donours are very responsible towards the persons who are in social and housing need - pensioners, refugees and socially disadvantaged citizens,” the Prime Minister underlined.

The total value of the project, covering almost ten thousand square metres with 104 accommodation units for 208 persons, amounts to EUR 7.4 million, of which EUR 3.3 are donour funds.

The Prime Minister continues his working visit to the Municipality of Nikšić by meeting with local management and business people and by visiting Župa Nikšićka, where he will pay a visit to the works on the construction of the Nikšić – Župa local road, launch works for the construction of a football field and visit the apple plantation of the "Naše voće" company.
