Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted today an inaugural visit by the newly appointed Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Branimir Jukić and Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo Ilber Hisa.
The meetings stated that the improvement of infrastructure, first of all the road infrastructure, is of utmost importance, which is a prerequisite for better connectivity of countries and accelerated development of economies.
"We understand each other well and cooperate well, but we have a hard time reaching each other. We need to change that," the Prime Minister of Montenegro said.
Ambassador Jukić emphasised that Montenegro has always acted as a sincere friend of Bosnia and Herzegovina and added that the two countries have about 60 bilateral agreements in various fields.
In addition to strengthening the infrastructure, the meeting with Ambassador Hisa discussed the need to strengthen cooperation in the field of arts, culture and sports. In the context of talks on the Montenegrin community in Kosovo and the Albanian community in Montenegro, the two officials agreed that multiconfessional harmony is a great potential and strength of the two countries.
Prime Minister Marković stressed that it is important that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Kosovo have a clear European and Euro-Atlantic perspective and that Montenegro would support them on that path.
