DPM Simović in Berane: North is large construction site as result of wise and bold state policy
"Significant advancements in agriculture and other areas are happening in the north, such as capital infrastructure projects, the new entrepreneur momentum of the north, advancements in health, education, culture and sport," Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Montenegro Milutin Simović stated earlier today in Berane.
Opening the First International Show of agriculture, nutrition and home craft, DPM Simović said that this event is a new confirmation of the breakthrough in the north.
"The North of Montenegro is the address of our investments, continuous presence, the expressed wishes and commitment to the balance of the evident development of Montenegro. That is a motive of our increasingly frequent presence in the north, in order to create new values of our economy and life in this region on the basis of abundant natural resources and with valuable, responsible and wise hosts and entrepreneurs," the Deputy Prime Minister stated.
The North – large construction site
He highlighted that Montenegro’s north has become large construction site as a result of wise and bold state policy and strategic development planning.
Construction of the highway will open up new possibilities for progress in many areas. The northern part of Montenegro, particularly Berane, Rožaje, Plav, Gusinje and Andrijevica will be closer to Podgorica and the coast for 40 km after the completion of the road Lubnice – Jezerine and valorisation of tourist potentials of Bjelasica. The implementation of the project of the new ski centres, worth over EUR 100 million, is ongoing. In the construction of the ski centre Kolašin 1600, which opened in February this year, it is invested about EUR 17 million. The works on the future ski centres Cmiljača in Bijelo Polje, Žarski in Mojkovac and Hajla in Rožaje are contracted.
