Construction of House of olives in Bar begins, Government allocates one million euros

The Government of Montenegro will allocate close to EUR one million in the construction of national “House of olives", which the Public Works Administration and Cetinje – based company "Bombeton" contracted yesterday. 

The contractor committed itself to complete the works within ten months from the date of introduction to work.

The House of olives will be located in the Old Town of Bar in accordance with the urban plan of the municipality Bar. Its total surface will be close to 1.100 square meters in accordance with the intended solution of the consulting company Arhing Engineering. It was designed as administrative and educational centre, which also will be the core of various manifestations, including the traditional Olive day.

The construction will contain a smaller plant for processing olives, which will be open to all Montenegro’s olive growers and interested tourists in order to be able to see the entire process of oil obtaining.

Beside the significant improvement of the Montenegro’s olive growers work conditions and the presentation of the high quality products, the House of olives is expected to be very attractive for many foreign tourists and visitors why it will become part of the tourist and cultural offer of Bar and Montenegro.
