In order to improve the conditions of accommodation and work of members of the Special Police Units Sector, the Government of Montenegro will invest seven million euros from the Capital Budget. The contract for the implementation of this project has been signed by the Public Works Directorate and Podgorica-based Čelebić company, which was entrusted with the public procurement procedure.
Prime Minister Duško Marković has spoken recently about the need to invest in the police. At the meeting of the Police Collegium, which took place on the occasion of the Interior Day, Prime Minister Marković said that the Government is well aware that only human resources and technologically trained security services can adequately respond to these challenges. He added that the Government will not save money or delay the creation of the best possible conditions for the functioning of the police.
The project envisages the demolition of existing old buildings located in the suburb of Zlatica and the construction of a new complex for the needs of members of the Special Police Units Sector, which will have all the necessary conditions for living and working there, including, inter alia, an administrative centre, accommodation and sports facilities and a garage.
