Only by creating a secure environment, protected by a good legal framework, can we achieve productive and dynamic economic development, Deputy Prime Minister Zoran Pažin said at the international conference "Justice and Investment: the Challenges and the Stakes", organised in Marrakesh under the auspices of Morocco's King Mohammed VI.
The event, which brought together over 900 officials and legal experts from more than 80 countries, was an opportunity to share experiences and discuss current challenges in the area of judicial reform, in line with the needs of investment-based economic development.
In his address, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasised the importance of foreign investments for Montenegro in order to create new jobs and strengthen the domestic economy. "Our priority is, and must be, to further develop an open economy and a favourable business environment. That is why the Government of Montenegro is actively working to remove obstacles to further economic development," DPM Pažin noted.
Deputy Prime Minister Pažin pointed out that contemporary societies face numerous challenges in striking a balance between modern market economy systems, on the one hand, and the protection of fundamental principles of justice and human rights, on the other. "These challenges require a concerted and coordinated response from all social actors towards strengthening the legal framework and eliminating business barriers," the Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
