Tender Commission for granting concession for airports of Podgorica and Tivat holds its constituent session

Podgorica, Montenegro (21 October 2019) –The Tender Commission for granting concession for the airports of Podgorica and Tivat held today its constituent session. We remind that on 11 October, the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs announced public announcement for the submission of pre-qualification applications for the concession of Airports of Montenegro.
Taking into account the firm commitment of the Government of Montenegro to conduct the procedure for granting concession, including the pre-qualification phase, in a completely transparent manner, the Tender Commission will inform the public in a timely manner about each session, including the constituent one.
Today's Tender Commission session, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Financial System Milutin Simović, and attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Tender Commission, Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Osman Nurković, and other Tender Commission members, prepared the Rules of Procedure of the Tender Commission, which more closely regulates the organisation, manner of work and decision-making process of the Tender Commission.
Furthermore, the Commission reviewed the pre-qualification phase of the procedure, as well as issues that are of importance for the further course of the procedure for granting concession. In this context, it was considered appropriate to hold a Pre-Tender Conference for potential bidders in Podgorica on 31 October. The conference will aim to ensure that all potential bidders, taking into account the rules related to the protection of competition, have the same and comprehensive information throughout the process, on the basis of which they will be able to prepare bids. The renowned Adviser to the Government and the Tender Commission in this process, the IFC, will present to the potential bidders the subject and purpose of the concession, the technical specifications of the airports, the parameters and structure of the concession, the capital investments, as well as the next steps in the tender procedure itself.
The Tender Commission for granting concession for the airports of Podgorica and Tivat will also address the public after the Pre-Tender Conference, thus ensuring continued transparency of the procedure.
