PM Marković meets with UAE Ambassador: Montenegro's investment potentials need to be more strongly promoted

Podgorica, Montenegro (23 October 2019) --The United Arab Emirates (UAE) contributes strongly to our economy and there are numerous opportunities for further deepening of the excellent bilateral relations between Montenegro and the United Arab Emirates,. This was noted at today's of Prime Minister Duško Marković and UAE Ambassador Abdulsalam Hareb Obaid Al Romaithi.
Prime Minister Marković, who hosted a farewell visit by the UAE Ambassador, recalled that Montenegro directed its state orientation towards the EU and NATO, as well as that the Government is committed to economic reforms and the improvement of citizen's quality of life.
The Prime Minister emphasised numerous opportunities for additional foreign investments in tourism, energy and agriculture, adding that the Government has invested significantly in the development of infrastructure in the North, where it is the 55 % of the total development potential of the country, in order to make this region more attractive to investors.
Both sides agreed that it is important to better promote the potentials of Montenegro, stressing that the Expo 2020 in Dubai is a great opportunity for doing this.
