Software for modernisation of prison system in Montenegro provided

Belgrade, Serbia (5 November 2019) -- Deputy Prime Minister for Political System interior and Foreign Policy and Minister of Justice Zoran Pažin and Minister of Justice of the Republic of Serbia Nela Kuburović signed earlier today in Belgrade the Protocol on granting an information technology (IT) solution for the needs of the Directorate for Execution of Criminal Sanctions of Montenegro.

In accordance with aforementioned Protocol, the Ministry of Justice of Serbia will grant to the Montenegro’s Ministry of Justice the right to use and adapt the "source code" of an IT solution adapted to the prison system with the aim of establishing an information system for monitoring the life cycle of prisoners held in prisons within the Directorate for Execution of Criminal Sanctions.

It is about a software that provides the monitoring of relevant data related to the persons deprived of their liberty, improved effectiveness and better control of the work of the system for execution of criminal sanctions.

In signing the Protocol, Deputy Prime Minister Pažin thanked Minister Kuburović for granted IT solution, which will contribute to the modernisation of the prison system in Montenegro.
