PM Marković meets with leadership of Old Royal Capital: Together we will encourage further development of Cetinje

Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković congratulated the citizens of Cetinje and the local leadership on the Day of the Old Royal Capital, saying that in the past year, hard work had been done to improve the overall situation in the city and significant results had been achieved in this context. He particularly praised the results in the consolidation of public finances.
"By working together we will improve the overall infrastructure in Cetinje and encourage its further development," the Prime Minister said at a meeting with Cetinje Mayor Aleksandar Kašćelan and Parliament Speaker Maja Ćetković.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the strengthening of the road infrastructure which will provide conditions for further progress of the Old Royal Capital and development of the economy. Furthermore, he referred to the benefits that the cable car from Kotor to Njeguši, worth over EUR 20 million would bring, which the Italian company Leitner intends to build.
Commenting on significant investments in infrastructure, Mayor Kašćelan pointed out that local authorities are investing heavily in villages and that people are increasingly turning to agriculture. He also informed about the expressed interest of foreign investors in investments in agriculture and energy.
"We aim to have as many new jobs as possible," Kašćelan said.
The Mayor of the Old Royal Capital also pointed to the increase in the number of tourists and said that they recorded 20 percent more nights in the first nine months compared to the same period last year.
