Belgrade, Serbia (14 November 2019) -- The Fourth Balkan Architectural Biennale was opened in Belgrade earlier today. The topic of this year's Biennial is "Decoding Balkan" and the partner country is Montenegro.

The event, which gathers many architects from the countries of the region, was opened by Minister of Culture of Montenegro Aleksandar Bogdanović, who emphasised that the topic of the Bienniale - "Decoding Balkan" offers a lot of room for discussion.

"It is a seemingly simple slogan that brings together complex motives and challenges, which at its core motivates us to think together in pursuit of a single goal. And this time, the goal is clear - to find the answers that would lead to a new trend, to overcome the challenge that is now a common denominator in many regions within the Balkan Peninsula - how to find the measure and ideal in the blend of tradition and innovation and how to achieve full compatibility between our impressive cultural and architectural heritage and the tendency of contemporary, modern architecture," Minister Bogdanović underlined.
