Prime Minister Duško Marković will host on Monday, Prime Minister of the Republic of Malta Joseph Muscat, who will be paying an official visit to Montenegro.

Prime ministers Marković and Muscat will make press statements after the official talks.

In the afternoon presidents of the governments of Montenegro and Malta will attend the ceremonial commissioning of the "Možura" wind farm.

Ministry of Economy of Montenegro Dragica Sekulić and Minister for Energy and Water Management of Malta Joe Mizzi will commission the wind farm.

The Možura wind farm is a 46 MW generating facility, which consists of 23 individual windmills with a capacity of 2 MW each.

The investment is being implemented by Maltese state - owned company Enemalta and Malta Montenegro Wind Park Company, whose headquarters is also in Malta.

The Montenegro’s second largest wind farm will produce about 120GWH of energy per year, substituting energy imports worth around EUR 6 million.

Thanks to amendments to the Regulation on how to encourage renewable energy that the Government adopted in May this year, the commissioning of the wind farm will not affect adversely the electricity bills of consumers in Montenegro.

The long - term land lease agreement stipulates that the wind farm will, after the lease period expires, be fully revitalised into permanent state ownership in 2035.
