The Government has decided to send a search and rescue team to the Republic of Albania.

Minister of the Interior Mevludin Nuhodžić that these were highly-trained professionals, ready to deal with all the consequences of natural disasters and help the injured peple.

"This special team is made up of well-trained professionals who will provide adequate assistance to the injured people. I have no dilemma that they will carry out their operational tasks responsibly and sacrificially, as if they were doing it for their country, without distinction. So, we are obliged to do so as a NATO member country and ally, but above all it is our human duty and obligation," the Minister said and emphasised: "When an accident happens, a neighbour is the first to come to help. That's the motto of our citizens, that's our state policy."

Minister Nuhodžic said that sending this special team does not end our need to help Albania in the aftermath of the earthquake.
