Final Conference of EU project "Technical support to development of institutional mechanisms for cooperation between Government and NGOs in Montenegro" to be held

The final Conference of the EU project" Technical support to the development of institutional mechanisms for cooperation between Government and NGOs in Montenegro" will hold on Monday, 2 December 2019 starting at 10:00 in Hilton Hotel, in Podgorica.

Minister of Public Administration Suzana Pribilović, Head of the Cooperation Sector at the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro Hermann Spitz and leading EU technical assistance project supporting Igor Vidčak will speak at the conference.

 
The conference will present results of the implementation of the Strategy for improving the enabling environment for functioning of NGOs 2018 – 2020, in relation to improving the legal and institutional framework for NGOs functioning and strengthening the cooperation of the public administration and NGO in the process of creating and implementing public policies, increasing the financial sustainability of NGOs, participating of NGOs in socio economic development and NGOs role in the process of Montenegro’s accession to the EU.

 
Within the conference, a panel titled "Improving the enabling environment for functioning of NGOs in Montenegro – current status and future activities" will be held, aimed at exchanging of experiences in previous acting of NGOs and established cross - sectoral cooperation as well as defining recommendations for improvement of regulatory framework and proposals for opening up new forms of cross – sector cooperation.
