Prime Minister Duško Marković says ahead of the NATO Summit in London that the Allied Leaders Meeting is a good opportunity for Montenegro to confirm its Alliance membership, which is crucial for our security as well as for security of the region as a whole.
"Today at the Summit, I expect important decisions that will advance the policies of NATO itself and, of course, strengthen its ability to contribute to global peace and stability. It is the Alliance's 70 anniversary, and I believe that this date will also strengthen the Alliance's capacity as a political and security global actor in the future," PM Marković said on his arrival at the Summit.
Asked by journalists if the Balkans will be discussed at the leaders meeting, the Prime Minister of Montenegro answered in the affirmative.
"Today, NATO will certainly confirm its commitment to the Western Balkans and its enlargement policy when it comes to the Western Balkans. North Macedonia is present at the Summit," the Prime Minister said.
Alongside the NATO Heads of State and Government, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and Prime Minister of North Macedonia Zoran Zaev also participate in the meeting.
