Your Excellency,

I would like to take this opportunity to inform you upon my decision to resign the post of the Prime Minister of the Government of Montenegro, due to my health condition.

Medical treatment, proscribed for the following months, envisages considerable reduction of my working hours, to the extent which is, in my deepest belief, not sufficient for execution of this highly important and accountable position.

On the other hand, Montenegro, being in a delicate period of development, demands for absolute working commitment of all of us, especially persons covering the most responsible positions, which will enable further progress on our European and democratic road.

Having in mind mentioned circumstances, I made this decision, in order to maintain the necessary preconditions for the Government of Montenegro to continue, in its full capacity, fulfilling planned agenda for the forthcoming period. In the next few moths I will devote myself to improve my health.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my personal gratitude to you and to all the Members of the Parliament for the excellent cooperation we have had.
