DPM Simović, Mayor Vuković: Water supply system construction for entire Lješanska nahija begins

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović and Mayor of Podgorica Capital City Ivan Vuković marked earlier today the beginning of the Kaluđerovo oko – Kamenica water supply system construction, which will resolve the water supply issue for about 1, 000 households in the entire area of the lower Lješanska nahija. The reconstructed water supply for the villages Bigor and Brežine is also opened.

The Government and the Capital will allocate more than EUR one million in the next year, as it was announced, for the project implementation that resolves the multi - decade issue of the entire Lješanska nahija locals.

The quality of partnership among the Government, the Capital and the locals gives special strength for the continuation of works, Deputy Prime Minister Simović stated. "Partnership, communion, understanding and trust. With the continuation of works, today we are sending a message that all we promised and agreed is implemented. We will continue with that attitude towards the word given, the obligation to the locals here and throughout the Capital and Montenegro, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed.

"I am pleased to inform the locals of the Lješanska nahija today that the works on the project, which will permanently change the state in this part of the city, begin and it is a new water supply system that will be supplied from the Kaluđerovo water hole. The Government allocated EUR 270 000 million for the implementation of the first phase of the project, for the connection of the water hole to the future reservoir in Kamenica. We will complete this part of the job to the next spring, after which we go on," Mayor Vuković said, announcing that the Government and the Capital will allocate more than EUR one million for works in the next year.
