Albanian PM Edi Rama awards gold medal and appreciation plaque to Montenegrin Rescue Team

Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania Edi Rama awarded a gold medal and appreciation plaque to the Montenegrin rescue team, who provided assistance and support to Albania after the earthquake that occurred on 26 November 2019, and selflessly assisted in the search for survivors beneath the rubble.

At the New Year's reception organised for Diplomatic Corps, Prime Minister Rama thanked Montenegro, Montenegrin people and the rescue team on behalf of Albania and the Albanian people. He said that a small country like Montenegro immediately came to the rescue, which will be remembered and cherished.

The award was received, on behalf of Montenegro, by the Chargé d'affaires at the Montenegrin Embassy in Albania, Vesna Radonjić, who thanked Prime Minister Rama, saying that Montenegro appreciates the award.
