Prime Minister Duško Marković said in the Parliament earlier today that the process of determining the value of state property has not been completed yet and that it has been worked on in recent years, but not enough and that he will personally make sure that the process is completed successfully.
Answering a question by Srđan Milić, MP from the Socialist People's Party about the exact value of state property, the Prime Minister said that ten years after the Law on State Property had been passed, no unified record of state property was established.
Responding to a question about how much money the State has collected from leasing state property, Prime Minister Duško Marković said that in 2015 the revenue amounted to EUR 3,270,929.76, EUR 293,312.57 in 2016, EUR 3,092,023.99 in 2017, and EUR 3,235,348.40 in 2018.
"The partners in the mentioned legal affairs were 284 individuals and legal entities, while the data for 2019 are being processed," the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister noted that the issue of how to manage state property deserves a strategic approach with justifiable and expedient measures, and said that the Government will handle these issues once the process of establishing a single inventory of state property is completed.
"This is not just about records, but state property is a strong and indisputable development potential of the country. As I said at the beginning, I agree with you, we did not do everything we had to do, we should have done more and we will have to do more, even if we in the Government had to undertake other measures regarding the changes of the organisation, but also strengthening the human resources in order to regulate the issue in line with the Law, and in line with economic and national interests,” Prime Minister Duško Marković concluded.
