DPM Simović to open VI "New Year's Fair of Local Products" held in Nikšić

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović will open the "VI New Year's Fair of Local Products" on Friday, 20 December, in Nikšić.

The event, which gathers an increasing number of producers of traditional and indigenous products from year to year, not only of Nikšić, but also of the entire Montenegro and the region countries, is organized by the Municipality of Nikšić, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the ITC Tehnopolis, NGO Network for Rural development and the Nikšić Tourism Organization.

This year, the event will be held in cooperation with partners on the project "Homemade Tastes" within the campaign – Good. Better. Domestic.

In order to achieve the key goal of this project - better placement of domestic agricultural products through the tourism industry, project partners, the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro and the Investment and Development Fund will organise meetings of producers and tourism employees within the fair .

Mayor of Nikšić Veselin Grbović, President of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro Vlastimir Golubović, State Secretary of the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism Damir Davidović and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Investment and Development Fund Zoran Vukčević will speak at the fair opening.

The fair runs from 20 - 22 December. More than 250 exhibitors are expected and a significantly higher number of visitors, compared to the previous years.

Considering the mass and growth of the overall quality of this event, this year the fair will be moved from the hall of the Sports Centre to the hall of the 1,500 m2.

The "New Year's fair of Local Products" opening will start at 10:00.
