Chief of Bureau for Operational Coordination Nuhodžić: Multi religious and multi-ethnic harmony are above all interests - Institutions uncompromisingly protect these values, which are for centuries Montenegro's heritage

The Bureau for Operational Coordination of Intelligence Sector Bodies, chaired by Interior Minister Mevludin Nuhodžić, held earlier today its XII session. In addition to the Bureau members, session was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Political System, Interior and Foreign Policy Zoran Pažin, Chief State Prosecutor Ivica Stanković, Prosecutor in the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office referred to the Special State Prosecutor's Office Stojanka Radović, Head of the Directorate for Execution of Criminal Sanctions Milan Tomić, Assistant Director of Police Administration for Department for Fight Against Organised Crime and Corruption Zoran Lazović and Director of Police Directorate for Criminal Police Sector Enis Baković.

The Bureau approved the Information on implemented activities in the fight against serious and organised crime, made by the Police Directorate and the National Security Agency, and praised the results of the Police and Intelligence and Security Services in tackling organised crime. The prosecution's results in prosecuting members of organized crime groups, were also welcomed. The Bureau, as well requested for activities on strengthening and intensifying the intelligence and security sector bodies and the State Prosecutor's Office cooperation, to be continuously undertaken.

The Bureau approved Information on the current situation in the Directorate for Execution of Criminal Sanctions. The Bureau concluded that additional efforts should be made to improve the material and technical capacities of the UIKS and boost the re-socialisation programs offered to convicted persons. Speaking about the upcoming public gatherings, Bureau Chief and Minister of the Interior Mevludin Nuhodžić stated: "I believe that citizens are mature and responsible and that they will not allow disturbance of public order and peace. Freedom and peace are Montenegro's greatest assets - our common good. Therefore, I urge all citizens to be wise and tolerant. To show once again that multi-ethnic and multi-religious harmony is above all interests. The institutions will uncompromisingly protect these values as a fundamental commitment, which has been a part of Montenegro's heritage for centuries."
