Horizon 2020 Outreach Event held

A Horizon 2020 Outreach Event was held on 12 December 2019 in Podgorica, with a focus on the rules and procedures of the H2020 Programme, especially in terms of financial and administrative project management and reporting.
The event, which was attended by about 90 representatives of institutions from different sectors, was organised by the European Commission within its programme of support to Member States and associated countries, together with the Ministry of Science.

European Commission representatives – Carmen Madrigal Jimenez, Marcos Carvalho Suzuki and Faidra Diona familiarised those present with financial provisions of the General Model Grant Agreement, calculation of wages and costs for persons engaged in projects, management of travel and equipment costs, subcontracting and indirect costs. The lecturers used the examples of results of audits implemented by the EC over a total of 871 H2020 projects, indicating the most common mistakes and the manner in which they could be avoided in costs management.
The afternoon part of the programme was devoted to key concepts and the legal basis for the dissemination and use of project results, including information on the Horizon Dashboard, H2020 interactive reporting platform.
National Coordinator for Horizon 2020 in the Ministry of Science, Branka Žižić, presented Montenegro’s participation in the programme, as well as the opportunities under the Ministry’s call for applications for boosting participation in the Horizon 2020 and COST programmes, open until 31 January 2020.
