Milk processing on farms supported with EUR 1.8 million in 2019

In accordance with the Agro budget defined deadlines, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development paid milk producers a premium for milk processed on farms, based on measure 1.1.3. Milk processing on the farm. The total amount of support paid is EUR 1,778,984 in 2019. 

A total of 1,537 farms applied for the premium in 2019. These holdings registered production of 31, 2 million litres of milk, of which 3,727 tons of cheese and 12 tons of kaymak were produced. According to the submitted product placement evidence, over 90% of the produced milk products were put on the market.

Over 80% of the amount of support, almost EUR 1, 5 million, was paid to 1,322 agricultural holdings from Montenegrin north municipalities.
