Tianjin, China: Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic holds talks with Chinese State Council Premier Wen Jiabao

Prime Minister Djukanovic underlined that China and Montenegro had a long tradition of friendship and thanked the State Council for the developmental support provided to the Government of Montenegro. Having acquainted Premier Wen with the dynamic economic development of Montenegro, Prime Minister Djukanovic presented a number of opportunities for further cooperation in the field of capital infrastructure projects and the tourism sector. The Prime Minister stressed that Chinese investors were welcome in Montenegro, emphasizing the importance, in that context, of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic and Trade Cooperation.
State Council Premier Wen Jiabao agreed that the two countries should strengthen economic cooperation, underlining that the Chinese Government would encourage reputable Chinese companies to invest in Montenegro.
Prime Minister Djukanovic invited Premier Wen to visit Montenegro, which was gladly accepted, as a token of continuity of intensive political contacts at the highest level.
