Press release: Prime Minister Djukanovic meets with German Ambassador to Podgorica Peter Plate

Prime Minister milo Djukanovic has today met with German Ambassador to Podgorica Peter Plate.

The Prime Minister thanked the German Government for the support it had provided to Montenegro, expressing hope that Germany, whom Montenegro considered a prominent friend, would continue to provide its support and assistance on Montenegros European and Euro-Atlantic path.

Ambassador Plate congratulated the Prime Minister and the Government of Montenegro on yesterdays presentation of its EU membership application, conveying his governments confidence that Montenegro belonged of the family of European nations and wishes for its rapid advancement in this strategic direction and meeting of the demanding European norms and standards.

By the same token, both parties expressed their readiness for full cooperation on future affairs facing Montenegro as it moves closer to full EU and NATO membership.
