Minister Bogdanović to portal Analitika: Law on State Symbols guarantees increasingly strict sanctions to all those who do not respect state in which they live

Podgorica, Montenegro (19 February 2020) -- The destruction of official symbols of the state of Montenegro in the past few days might be surprising, if the overtures to that, were not identical to the events in Belgrade and furthermore the desecration of monuments and cultural assets in Montenegro, which represent our history and the fight for Montenegro's freedom. The fact that vandalism, which has already become a frequent accompanying motive of processions, do not surprise us - does not mean that we do not need to react. On the contrary," Minister of Culture Aleksandar Bogdanović stated to portal Analitika.
Full implementation of the Law on State Symbols and the Statehood Day completely guarantees increasingly strict sanctions against all those, who are unable to show elementary respect for the state in which they live, the Minister of Culture stressed.
