PM Marković hosts Deutsche Telekom delegation: German operator is ready to participate in announced Digital Coalition of Montenegro

Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted earlier today a delegation from Deutsche Telekom operating in fifty countries, including Montenegro. 

The Prime Minister informed the delegation about the Government's strategic policies which in the past three years have led to high economic growth, increase of FDI especially in the field of tourism, energy and lately of agriculture and employment growth. Furthermore, he added that Montenegro's goal is to keep high growth rates in the forthcoming period as a basis for further economic advancement and an increase in living standard. 

At the meeting with member of the Board of Management Deutsche Telekom AG for Europe Srini Gopalan and CEO of Crnogorski Telekom Dina Tsybulskaya, PM Marković expressed satisfaction with the company's operation in our country, emphasising that he particularly appreciates the high level of social responsibility of the company, which has invested significant funds in the Montenegrin education system and our sport.

It was concluded that the announced digital coalition, initiated by the Montenegrin economy, is an excellent basis for further investments by Deutsche Telekom in Montenegro and strategic cooperation between the company and the Government. "The digital economy is our focus. We operate both independently and in cooperation with the European Union, through the Berlin Process. We expect Deutsche Telekom to be a significant player in our new digital economy process," Prime Minister Duško Marković said. Representatives of the German company said that they have serious intentions to participate in our digital economy by implementing modern secure digital solutions.

Deutsche Telekom has presented to the Prime Minister plans for investment in new technologies and implementation of the latest technological solutions, including 5G technology.
