Minister Bogdanović in Rožaje: Ganić Tower is example of responsible relation of State and good cooperation with Islamic Community

Minister of Culture Aleksandar Bogdanović paid a working visit to Rožaje, where he met with President of the Municipality Rahman Husović. Thw two officals discussed the implemented projects and future forms of multilevel cooperation.

On this occasion, Minister Bogdanović and President Husović also visited the symbol of Rožaje - the Ganić Tower. The first phase of reconstruction of the Tower is almost completed.

It is an example that shows us how important the relation between religious communities and the State is for the proper protection and restoration of our cultural heritage. The Ganić Tower is an indicator of the responsible relation of the State and good cooperation with the Islamic Community, the Minister said.

Minister Bogdanović stressed that the reconstruction of the Ganić Tower is one of many examples of the Government of Montenegro's investment in the protection of cultural heritage. The reconstruction project is being realised with great and valuable support from UNDP.
