Ministry of Culture: We condemn new vandalism to Tabija and urge citizens not to fall for provocations

Published on: Feb 26, 2020 4:28 PM Author: PR Service
The Ministry of Culture condemns the continued devastation of cultural assets in Montenegro, regarding the Tabija near Sutomore to be vandals target for the second time in relatively short – period.

Just as it was the first time, when Tabija had seen the mark of current protests regarding the Law on Freedom of Religion, once again the handwriting was clear and the same - while the authors not even bothering to change location. Unlike the earlier manifestations of "brotherhood," such as burning and splitting the flag of Montenegro - this time, however, the tendency is to show the supposed endangering of a part of the population of our country. The full freedom of expression to the streets of Montenegro, lasting more than two months, illustrates the best of whether there are any endangered persons and whether their rights have been violated.

For this reason, we urge citizens not to fall for provocations, served with the same addresses, as the alleged crackdown on protests by the military, the closed and the cheerleading group.

And this time, the expert services will respond and remove damage to Tabija, as soon as possible.
