PM Marković meets with representatives of Pobjeda, TV Prva CG and TV Nova M: Government's goal is to help sustainability of Montenegrin media regardless of their editorial policy

Prime Minister Duško Marković said today at meetings within the Alliance for Europe Initiative that the Government's goal is to create an environment in which the Montenegrin media will be sustainable and that the Government wants to agree on the necessary steps in this direction.
"Our goal in this dialogue with the Montenegrin media is to help them be sustainable, regardless of their editorial policies. We recognise the temptation that the media is facing today," the Prime Minister said at meetings with Director and editor-in-chief of Pobjeda Draško Đuranović, Director of TV Prva CG Sonja Drobac and Director of TV Nova M Ivana Šebek.
Recognising the challenges on the Montenegrin media scene, it was agreed that we have recently been facing an unprecedented amount of fake news directed against the state, which requires coordination of state authorities and the media.
The Prime Minister expressed his readiness to reconsider some solutions in media laws after talking to the media. "It would be good for us to reach agreement with the Montenegrin media community," PM Marković said.
The meetings were attended by Minister of Culture Aleksandar Bogdanović and Chief Negotiator with European Union Aleksandar Drljević.
