Press release: Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic and Foreign Minister Milan Rocen meet with Russian Minister for Emergency Situations Sergey Shoygu

Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic met Saturday with Sergey Shoygu, the Russian Federations Minister for Emergency Situations and the Cochairman of the Montenegrin-Russian Intergovernmental Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the Committees contribution to the overall cooperation between the two friendly countries. In addition, they praised the intensity of political contacts and the readiness of Montenegrin and Russian governments to enhance economic and all-round cooperation and to search together for means of preventive action and more efficient countering of the implications of the global economic and financial crisis in matters of mutual interest.
In that context, particular reference was made to the settlement of KAPs problems. Both sides expressed readiness to intensify the talks between the two parties in order to produce a solution for the maintenance of production in the Aluminum Plant and the Bauxite Mine.
In a separate meeting between the Committees Cochairman Foreign Minister Milan Rocen and Minister Shoygu, both sides expressed satisfaction with the rate of implementation of the agreement reached at a recent meeting of the Committee in Moscow.
