The ruling coalitions convincing general election victory has enabled it to form a new government in the near future. Its chief priority will be to maintain stability at the time of the global crisis and undertake the necessary preparations for the resumption of vibrant economic growth once the crisis has passed, which will help move towards Montenegros European and Euro-Atlantic goals, the Prime Minister said at his meeting with Dutch Ambassador to Montenegro Ron van Dartel.

The Dutch Ambassador congratulated the Prime Minister on the democratic election process and the convincing victory of the European Montenegro coalition, adding that the way in which Montenegro had developed over the past three years, since the restoration of independence, was impressive.

He also noted that the EU Councils decision of 23 April to give the green light to the European Commission to prepare the so-called Questionnaire for Montenegro was a very good sign for the country on its path to full European integration. The Dutch Government will continue to provide full support to Montenegro on that path, maintaining a clear position that the progress of each country of the Western Balkans will be valued separately, Ambassador van Dartel said.

The Prime Minister thanked the Dutch Government for the support provided to Montenegros European agenda so far, as well as for the financial support to numerous projects in the areas of defense, environment, justice and public administration capacity building.
