Scientific Expedition arrives to Pljevlja

“Scientific Expedition” has arrived to Pljevlja today, where the first expedition was hosted by “Tanasije Pejatović” Gymnasium. Today and tomorrow, from 11 am to 3 pm, the students of primary and secondary schools and the interested general public will have a chance to improve the level of their scientific literacy through exhibitions, experiments, presentations and interactive trials.

According to Đurđina Bulatović, Head of Cabinet in the Ministry of Science, the Ministry has organised this promotional event in cooperation with non-governmental organisations engaged in science promotion. The event itself aims to bring science closer to the general public, presenting it in an interesting manner.

“It gives me great pleasure that the Ministry of Science has recognised our gymnasium as the best and most appropriate place to start a scientific caravan – we are honoured that our school is the first stop of that caravan”, Ljiljana Bajčetić, “Tanasije Pejatović” Gymnasium Director, said, adding that she was confident that there would be future scientists among the visitors and students present at the event, who would eventually make their school, the city of Pljevlja and Montenegro proud.

The students were very pleased with the “Scientific Expedition” programme, as they had a chance to learn about practical work aspects, which is normally not part of their regular school curricula.

The expedition continues its journey. We will meet again in Bijelo Polje on 10-11 March.
