National Coordination Body: Donations via SMS on 15888, starting today

Podgorica, Montenegro (6 April 2020) -- In cooperation with Montenegrin Telekom, Telenor and Mtel, the National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases has opened an SMS donation line 15888, through which citizens can join the joint fight against the coronavirus.

By sending an SMS DONACIJA to the number 15888, it is possible to donate EUR 1 to the giro account of the Red Cross of Montenegro to help vulnerable citizens. This service is available for users of all operators in Montenegro, and after the donation has been relised, each donor will receive a confirmation SMS of the successfully realised donation.

The SMS support line was implemented at the initiative of numerous citizens. In addition to telecommunication companies, the line was also supported by the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP), as rapidly as possible.

We recall that donations can also be made through the website of the National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases www.coronainfocg.me i.e. in accordance with the instructions, at http://www.gov.me/title/donations.
