Three Montenegrin firefighting aircrafts are engaged in fire extinguishing in BiH

Podgorica, Montenegro (11 April, 2020) -- Three Montenegrin "Air Tractor" firefighting aircrafts extinguish fires today in the area of Konjic - Neretvica and Prozor – Rama in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina requested for international firefighting assistance from Montenegro to extinguish the open air fire, which hit this area yesterday.
Considering the request, the Ministry of the Interior voiced its readiness to assist Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Montenegrin Cabinet, without holding a session and based on the obtain consent of the majority of Cabinet members, passed the appropriate decision yesterday afternoon.
The basis for assistance is the Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Cooperation in Protection from Natural and Civilisation Disasters, which was signed for an indefinite period of time on 7 September 2007, in Budva.
Three of our pilots and one mechanic are engaged in fire extinguishing to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
