Bulletin of the Ministry of Science for 2019

The Ministry of Science has published a bulletin on its activities in 2019. In this publication, we have presented the SEEIIST project as a flagship initiative, first and foremost the activities and phases related to the project. Namely, we have crowned our work in 2019 by adopting the Smart Specialisation Strategy, both nationally and internationally, making Montenegro the first non-EU country to adopt this important document and reaffirming the country’s willingness to implement European Union policies on a par with EU Member States.

In addition, the bulletin brings articles and stories on the development of the system of scientific research and innovative activities, calls for proposals and ongoing projects. An account is also given in relation to incentives provided for innovative start-ups; namely a support programme was launched to strengthen independent innovation initiatives for the first time, specifically for pre-accelerator programmes for support to development of start-up ideas.

Finally, we have reflected on the domains of international collaboration, state-of-play related to the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, student winter and summer schools, and our researchers from the diaspora. We also referred to the science promotion activities, which aim to bring the field of science closer to the younger generations in a creative and interesting way.
