Filipović: Donation of the Republic of Turkey is an expression of solidarity of Turkish people with Montenegro

Donation of President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, arrived in Montenegro, according to the agreement with the President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović. The military airplane with medical equipment landed at the airport of Podgorica, where it was welcomed by State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Slobodan Filipović, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Songul Ozan, and Miodrag Radović, Head of the Cabinet of the President of Montenegro.
“The medical equipment consists of 50 000 masks, 1000 protective suits and 1000 tests. This donation, as well as previous ones, is at disposal to the Ministry of Health and the health system of Montenegro. In this time of the greatest pandemic that spread throughout the whole world and caused the biggest crisis after the World War II, it is the expression of solidarity of Turkish people and its great friendship with Montenegro”, Filipović stated.
“Since the moment of the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic, Turkey and Montenegro, as friendly and allied countries, share solidarity. I hope that this equipment will be our contribution to more serious battle that Montenegro is fighting”, ambassador Ozan stated. She expressed her gratitude to all those who gave their contribution, particularly to the President Đukanović who recently spoke with the president Erdogan, and to the Prime Minister Duško Marković.
Ambassador reminded that Turkish Airlines brought many citizens of Montenegro, which was preceded by another donation of Turkey - tests for Covid 19, which represents one more example of excellent cooperation between these two countries.
