PM Marković wishes Happy Easter: This year's biggest Christian holiday is not only long-awaited joy, but also opportunity to save ourselves and our loved ones

Prime Minister Duško Marković, on behalf of the Government and in his own name, offered warmest wishes to all citizens and priests celebrating Orthodox Easter, noting that this year's greatest Christian holiday is not only a long-awaited joy, but also an opportunity to save ourselves and our loved ones; and to rationally look at the many temptations brought by the age in which we live and create.
"This is a year of numerous and difficult challenges that the global order is facing. A vicious and dangerous coronavirus epidemic has endangered and paralyzed the entire world. Fortunately for all of us, thanks to timely measures and discipline of our citizens, Montenegro manages to resist and save what is most valuable – the people and their health. That is why this year's Easter is not only a long-awaited joy, but also an opportunity to save ourselves and our loved ones. An opportunity to rationally look at the many temptations brought by the age in which we live and create. And they are numerous, complex and not without consequences - if there is lack of ability and determination to confront them in the right way," the Prime Minister said.
Prime Minister Duško Marković said that the measures we have been implementing for weeks should be seen as a joint struggle to eradicate the epidemic and preserve people's health and lives.
"We will succeed in this fight if we are united every day, including Easter. Therefore, I want you to spend the moments preceding this great holiday finding inner and family peace, but also in the search for answers to all future challenges and temptations. In this way, we will welcome Easter even more joyfully, as the day of man's final victory over death and persecution. In the name of eternity and renewal of nature and life in it, I once again congratulate you on a great Orthodox holiday," the Prime Minister's congratulatory message reads.
