EUR 3.3 million in grants paid to farmers in advance

The advance payment of 80% of the total premium support per head of livestock and per hectare of arable land marked the implementation of the Special Support Programme to Agriculture and Fisheries, which the Government of Montenegro adopted in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has paid in advance premiums on the basis of the rights acquired in 2019, in accordance with the 2020 Agrobudget criteria and data in the relevant registers.

The advance payment of a part of the premiums in the amount of EUR 3,335,000 provided additional security for farmers' incomes and additional support for this year's production.
