The Public Works Administration signed today an agreement with the Podgorica-based company Fidija on the second phase of construction of the pedestrian bridge in Mojkovac, over Podgorica-Bijelo Polje highway.

The value of the second phase works amounts to EUR 1.2 million, which is allocated from the Capital Budget by the Government of Montenegro. The total investment - the first and the second phase - is around EUR 2.2 million.

The contractor is obliged to complete the work within 150 days of its introduction into the work, provided that force majeure or circumstances which it could not influence have not occurred.

The pedestrian bridge is 63 meters long and seven meters wide. A five-meter wide spiral ramp is planned at the end of the bridge.

This is a significant project for the citizens of Mojkovac and its surrounding, which will enable the connection between the future sports and recreational zone with the city centre and thus contribute to the greater safety of traffic participants. The construction of the pedestrian bridge creates conditions for the full valorisation of the former tailings pond.
