Croatia donates medical equipment to Montenegro: Solidarity, togetherness and friendship are priceless in difficult times

A donation of medical protective equipment was delivered to Podgorica today - 50,000 pieces of surgical masks, 2,000 liters of medical alcohol, 2,000 pieces of visors and 1,000 pieces of protective medical goggles - which the Republic of Croatia sent to Montenegro.

Minister of the Interior Mevludin Nuhodžić thanked the Government of the Republic of Croatia, and especially Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Davor Božinović, for the excellent cooperation and today's donation. "In these difficult and demanding times, solidarity, togetherness and friendship are necessary and priceless. Montenegro has a sincere and true friend in Croatia. The citizens of Montenegro feel that, and they especially appreciate the support that Croatia provides to Montenegro in the process of European integration," Nuhodžić said.

Minister Nuhodžić pointed out that the results so far show that the Government of Montenegro, all institutions and the entire society reacted responsibly and in a timely manner. "However, we we still have to abide by the measures and views of the health professionals, we must be conscientious and responsible, so that this phase of the fight against coronavirus would be as successful as possible," the Minister concluded.

Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Montenegro Veselko Grubišić stated during the handover of the equipment that Croatia wants to show Montenegro good neighbourly solidarity and praised the cooperation with Montenegrin state institutions during the coronavirus epidemic. He stressed that Croatia will continue to support Montenegro on its path to EU membership.
