Minister Nuhodžić in Frankfurt: Montenegro is proud of its diaspora, which fosters multiethnic harmony, tradition, language and culture

The meeting of Minister of the Interior Mevludin Nuhodžić with representatives of the Association of Montenegrin Emigrants' and other prominent members of the diaspora, was organised by the Consulate General in Frankfurt.
The Minister thanked the emigrants for their contribution to the affirmation of Montenegro, its state identity and preservation of tradition, language and culture. "Montenegro is proud of its diaspora, which fosters multi-ethnic and multicultural harmony. That is why improving cooperation with expatriates is high on the Government's list of priorities,” Nuhodžić stated.
In the previous period, Montenegro made significant progress in the accession process to the European Union, Minister Nuhodžić pointed out. Talking about the economic results, Minister Nuhodžić stressed the importance of infrastructure projects in the economy and tourism, highlighting the Government's commitment to more efficient use of potentials in the north of Montenegro. He emphasized that the role of our emigrants is also important for better development of the Montenegrin economy. "In that sense, I encourage you to further invest in projects in Montenegro, in order to achieve our common aim, to reach the living standard of the European citizens. Along this path, you will have full support of the Government. I also express openness of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for all initiatives aimed at strengthening the relationship between parent entity and the diaspora," Minister Nuhodžić noted. Also, he particularly referred to the intensive activities of the Ministry of the Internal Affairs towards mutual recognition of driving licenses.
Representatives of the emigrant community expressed satisfaction with the meeting Minister Nuhodžić and stressed that preserving civic concept of Montenegro was particularly significant, in a friendly and cordial atmosphere. They expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation with institutions in their home country, welcoming the Government's policy of creating conditions for even closer ties with the homeland.
