Twelve teams from two projects proceed to the finals for support to innovative start-ups early development
Through the Programme of Incentives for Innovative Start-ups, the Ministry of Science has supported two projects for support to innovative start-ups early stage development – projects BoostMeUp and StartUp Activator.
Six selected start-up teams from each of the two projects went into the finals and will receive intensive mentoring and financial support in the coming period to further develop their ideas.
The “BoostMeUp” project team and six international mentors have selected six teams to receive financial support: Flourish, Seljak.me, Orhis, Zahn 265, Solar Villager and Sunrocket. In addition, a selection has been made of four teams to receive non-financial support, and these are: Partour, Innat, Light4Life and Smart Bike Parking System, while Pločasti vjetrogenerator received a special form of support. This project team has identified potential to improve and develop other Bootcamp ideas and is, along with the partners from BeSME project, preparing a special programme for working with them.
The finalists of the “StartUp Activator” project are: Hungry Thirsty, Tip Hero, Wineroom, eBEACH, Moja klinika.me and GREGGO. “StartUp Activator” staff indicated that all of the teams, eleven of them in total, demonstrated exceptional creativity, team and entrepreneurial spirit and innovativeness, showing that ideas really moved the world forward. However, as in any competition, a selection had to be made so five teams will not continue the race, while the finalists will have a chance to make a historical success.
We wish all the finalists a lot of persistence and good creative energy for the successful completion of this early stage of development of innovative products and services. Good luck!
