The Public Works Administration signed earlier today an agreement with the Cetinje - based company "Bombeton" on the reconstruction of the Castle of King Nikola in Nikšić, worth close to EUR 1.2 million.
The Government will finance the complete project from the Capital Budget and the contractor committed to complete the works within 365 days from the introduction to work.
The works on the building, which is on the list of the Administration for Protection of Cultural Property, will include the reconstruction of walls, ceilings, floors, part of the roof, rehabilitation of stone accesses and stairs, adaptation of the building to people with disabilities.
Special attention will be paid to the heating and cooling system, in order to protect the exhibits in the native museum.
The reconstruction of Castle of King Nikola represents a continuation of the Government's intensive investments to the development of Nikšić. We would like to recall you that the construction on the west stand of Sutjeska Stadium and the Home for the Elderly complex, with a total value of around EUR 10 million, is in progress and that the upgrade of the Public Institution Zahumlje was recently completed.
