DPM Simović pays working visit to Šavnik

Šavnik, Montenegro (20 May 2020) – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović, following a working visit to Nikšić where he opened the Prijespa waterworks and attended the opening of the modern Nikčević Polyclinic, paid a working visit to the Municipality of Šavnik.
On that occasion, the Deputy Prime Minister visited the newly built local road Krnja jela - Bare, which was reconstructed through the Rural Development Programme, which the Government is implementing with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The agreement was made for new projects to improve rural infrastructure and the quality of life and work of citizens.
During the visit, the continuation of projects for solving the water supply was announced, with the support of the Ministry, which transferred today funds in the amount of EUR 55 thousand for those purposes, with an additional 75 thousand through IFAD.
Another important project for Šavnik is the reconstruction of the dormitory in which the students of the Secondary Agricultural School are housed. The agreement for dormitory reconstruction was signed today.
The Deputy Prime Minister reminded that during the last year, the situation in that facility was reviewed, it was stated that the accommodation was unconditional and support was announced. Through the IFAD project, EUR 10 thousand were provided for the reconstruction, in order to provide the students with decent conditions.
