Published on: May 29, 2020 • 12:39 AM Author: PR Service
The Montenegrin Cabinet, at its 175th session, chaired by Prime Minister Duško Marković, set out the Proposal of decision on adoption of the detailed spatial plan for the area of the multipurpose reservoir on the Komarnica River (DPP).
The most important document, which is a precondition for entering the capital energy facility of the 170 m high hydroelectric power plant, with an installed capacity of 170 MW, with a capacity of 209 GWh, envisages a lower elevation of the accumulation lake than the most profitable one with which the population has already agreed. This reduces economic viability, but protects all elements of the environment.
During the discussion, several members of the Cabinet expressed full support for this strategic project with an estimated value of EUR 246 million, pointing out that the document created conditions for building and encouraging further development of the wider area since the multipurpose accumulation lake opens opportunities for valorisation of potential in several areas - transport, fishing, tourism and others.
The Cabinet adopted the Decision on the establishment of the limited liability company "Protection of the space of Montenegro".
The Cabinet adopted the Information on financial incentives for employees in social and child protection institutions for accommodation of beneficiaries for April and May 2020. The incentive of up to 15% will be paid. The Information on the payment of separate living allowance for specialists in the public health sector for April 2020 was also adopted.
The Information on the proposal of the Protector of Property and Legal Interests of Montenegro for the conclusion of the Settlement Agreement before the Mediation Center in the case No.990/18 was adopted. The Cabinet gave its consent for the Protector to conclude a Settlement Agreement in the amount of EUR 133,000, which was accepted by the plaintiff – Danilovgrad-based company Kroling.
The Cabinet adopted the Information on the performed works on the right armlet of the river Bojana and the planned activities until the end of 2020.
