Alliance for Europe - PM Marković meets with URA: cooperation of civic, political and social actors is crucial for continuation of Montenegro's overall progress

Podgorica, Montenegro (29 May 2020) – Prime Minister Duško Marković and representatives of the Civic Movement URA, led by President Dritan Abazović, agreed that the cooperation of all civic-oriented political forces in overcoming the challenges facing Montenegro is crucial for the further progress of our country.

At the meeting, held within the Prime Minister's Alliance for Europe Intitiative, both sides agreed that our country has successfully come out of the fight against coronavirus.

Prime Minister Duško Marković informed his interlocutors about the determination to enter the election process after the social dialogue and the possible consensus, which the Government is striving for.

"Montenegro as a small society must at this moment gather everyone who can contribute to our goals. I see the potential for that in what you are doing," said the Prime Minister.

Representatives of the Civic Movement URA noted that they are ready to propose certain personnel solutions concerning Montenegrin institutions, adding that they will take a stand on the results of the Alliance for Europe Initiative after the Government's proposals arrive.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Zoran Pažin, Chief Negotiator with the EU Aleksandar Drljević, Executive Director of the Civic Movement URA Zoran Mikić and members of the Presidency Filip Adžić, Suada Zoronjić and Miodrag Caro Pavličić.
